Lilibet Diana Mountbatten Windsor, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, turned 1 on Saturday. The family has released a new portrait of their little girl to celebrate this special day.
In the photo taken by Misan Harriman, Lilibet was smiling during her birthday party on the grounds of the Sussexes’ home, Frogmore Cottage. The little girl wore a powder blue dress and a bow over her red hair.
Photographer Misan Harriman shared a new portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s daughter on her first birthday special on her Instagram account. In a second photo, Meghan was seen holding Lili.
Lilibet’s private first birthday party hosted by Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan was held at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor with an intimate backyard picnic. The Duke and Duchess ordered a special cake for Claire Ptak from Violet Bakery for Lili’s 1st birthday celebration. (Ptak also made Harry and Meghan’s wedding cake for their 2018 nuptials.) Close friends and family attended the celebration, along with Zara and Mike Tindall, who are said to have young children.
Meghan and Harry shared the first image of Lili on their Christmas card. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose to keep Lili and Archie largely out of the public eye. The Sussexes were in town to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, which spanned four days across the UK. During their visit, Meghan and Harry chose not to take Archie and Lili to any public events. Instead, Lili met her great-grandmother Queen II on Thursday. He met with Elizabeth privately.
Reportedly, the family has now returned to their home in Montecito, California.
