Kim Kardashian Makes Her Own Mini Balenciaga Runway

For Balenciaga’s spring 2023 program, mononymous designer Demna provided his collection atop mountains of mud stacked into the arena location. Designs stomped through the dirt, unquestionably soiling the clothing while doing so. A once-in-a-lifetime sight to see, you may be believing. Not if you’re Kim Kardashian. Not able to make the Balenciaga program in individual, Kardashian recreated the conditions herself. In a brand-new series of images published to Instagram, Kardashian postured while resting in the dirt, using a gown that looked like a series of dark belts, Alien-esque sunglasses, and a set of black slides. She captioned the series, “When I couldn’t make it to the @balenciaga program @demna sent out the program to me.”

The belted gown was not in the collection, however, as my Style Runway associate José Criales-Unzueta explains, it’s comparable in tone to the finale dress, which was made to appear like purses Frankensteined together (a number of the designs likewise used large belts). Kardashian’s bandage-style mini was much more Instagram all set, and we value the devotion it required to recreate the program’s setting herself. Our only concern is: did Demna send out the dirt in addition to the gown?
