Kate Middleton Wears Belted Green Dress to Present Queen Elizabeth Award For British Design

Kate Middleton had a particularly fashion forward moment today for a British fashion event, naturally. The Duchess of Cambridge arrived to present the Queen Elizabeth Award For British Design, wearing a green belted dress by Canadian designer Edeline Lee. Kate wore her brown hair down and straight for the occasion. She accessorized with dangle earrings and darker green heels.

Kate’s appearance comes after she and Prince William marked their daughter Princess Charlotte’s 7th birthday over the weekend. Their Instagram account showcased Kate’s photography skills again. Kate took new portraits of Charlotte to celebrate her daughter’s big day.

A source spoke to Us Weekly about Charlotte’s two birthday parties and the work Kate put into making her party with the family at Anmer Hall full of treats. The country home was filled with balloons, and a unicorn cake was served.

“Kate made all the food herself—mini pizzas, burgers, sausage rolls, hot dogs, fruit wands, sandwiches, multi-colored cupcakes and ice cream for everyone to tuck into,” the source said.

The source added that Kate and William really prioritize their children’s birthdays. “Kate and William have one important rule whenever it’s George, Charlotte and Louis’ birthday–they clear their schedules and avoid any work calls, unless there’s an emergency, to enable them to give their children their undivided attention,” the source said.

Charlotte had a second party at Kensington Palace with her classmates, the source revealed. “It was the first birthday party Charlotte has had with all her friends. She’s such a popular little girl and she loved every minute of being center of attention, ”the source said.
