Fort Wayne, Indiana Mayor Tom Henry confessed to drinking and driving after he was associated with an automobile mishap Saturday night, according to a declaration from his workplace.
“Mayor Tom Henry was associated with an automobile crash late Saturday,” a representative for him, John Perlich, stated in a declaration to NBC News. “Upon arrival, officers figured out that the Mayor seemed impaired. After tests were carried out, that was validated.”
Henry asked forgiveness in a tweet Sunday early morning, taking complete obligation for his actions.
“I wish to say sorry to the locals of Fort Wayne and my household for the bad choice I made to support the wheel of a lorry after consuming at a regional function,” he stated. “I’m relieved that nobody was injured in this occurrence. The Fort Wayne Cops Department managed this circumstance with professionalism and followed all of the proper treatments and procedures.”
It’s uncertain since Sunday if Henry was apprehended and what charges he deals with.
The Fort Wayne Cops Department did not instantly react to ask for remark.
