Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville recommended that Democrats desired reparations since they are “pro-crime” throughout previous President Donald Trump’s rally in Nevada on Saturday.
The Republican senator and previous Auburn University football coach stated, “They desire criminal activity. They desire criminal activity since they wish to take control of what you got. They wish to manage what you have. They desire reparations since they believe individuals that do the criminal activity are owed that. Bullshit.”
The condemnation of the Alabama senator’s remarks, specifically by the media, was extreme and swift.
On Sunday’s State of the Union, political expert and previous state agent of South Carolina Bakari Sellers berated Sen. Tuberville’s remarks: “The truth is, he made 10s of countless dollars off overdue black guys as a football coach…He actually has the stature he has since individuals headed out there and presumed the threat and sustained the threat of concussions, playing difficult and whatever.”
In the exact same vein, reporter Jemele Hill tweeted: “A pointer that Tommy Tuberville was a college coach for almost thirty years, throughout which he coached ratings of Black gamers. He made millions off their capabilities, however here’s what he actually considers Black folks.”
