Fontainebleau Miami Beach Releases Not So Secret, Secret Cocktail Menu

Whether you’re a local, a regular visitor, or just one that dreams of sun-filled adventures in Miami, the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach is probably a hotel that’s on your radar. One of Miami’s largest and most well known hotels, it’s known for its bustling atmosphere, great dining, and epic parties. Picture yourself enjoying poolside bubbles, lunching at La Cote, indulging in steakhouse sophistication at StripSteak by Michael Mina, feasting on Italian supremacy at Scarpetta, or sipping cocktails at Bleau Bar—Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s culinary and cocktail outlets are some of the best you’ll find in the area.

Unbeknownst to many, for the last few months, many of the hotel’s culinary hot spots have been sneakily serving secret cocktail menu items that were only available via word of mouth. But as we enter summer, the hotel is releasing the details to the public about these special cocktails—the only hook is you still have to ask for them.

This resort-wide program was developed by Director of Food and Beverage Valentin Mihail. With more than 15 years of experience at upscale properties throughout South Florida, Las Vegas and beyond, unique menu concepts are nothing new for the hospitality professional. Mihail brought the initiative to the property not only for guests to enjoy, but to challenge his team.

“The secret menu concept encouraged our talented team to think outside the box and stretch their muscles creatively. It gave an opportunity for team members from the kitchen and behind the bar to come together and collaborate for an exciting program we think our guests will love,” says Mihail.

Each outlet’s super special secret cocktail (some paired with a bite) reflects its aesthetics, atmosphere, and concept. Priced at $32, they can be ordered by simply asking for the “secret menu item.”

Here’s what you can expect to find at each of the seven outlets:

Basque poolside at Glow Bar – Nothing says tropical paradise quite like pineapples and tequila. Sip this specialty margarita out of a pineapple while enjoying the sights at the hotel’s iconic poolscape. Topped with cayenne pepper, it’ll add the perfect spice to a cool breezy day by the pool.

Hanging in the lobby at Bleau Bar – The electric dust on this Clase Azul Plata cocktail will charge your tastebuds. Featuring passion fruit, strawberry purée, and hellfire habanero shrub, this cocktail adds a fresh spin to a classic Mexican spirit.

Grab late night bites (and cocktails) at Arkadia Grill – Beneath a smoke encapsulated bubble awaits the refreshing Apple of Envy cocktail featuring Angel’s Envy bourbon, a hint of apple, and brown sugar. Evoking memories of perfect backyard barbecues, it’s served with a dry-aged steak burger slider.

Enjoy ocean views and a cocktail at La Côte – This drink is what happens when an oceanside bistro meets a butterfly garden. A Belvedere-based cocktail infused with blackberry and lemongrass, combined with butterfly pea tea, rosemary, citrus and more. It’s a perfect sip and comes paired with spiced crispy chickpeas.

Keep it classy at StripSteak by Michael Mina: Inspired by the classics and influenced by Miami, the Their Way cocktail features Gray Goose vodka, passion fruit, and a touch of spice. Served with a chilled shrimp and lemon vinaigrette dusted with togarashi, this combination will dance across your palate with the style and sophistication of the Rat Pack that inspired it.

Indulge in Italian at Scarpetta: This amaretto and bourbon Godfather cocktail is simple and seductive. Paired with a perfect ravioli, it’s an offer you can’t refuse.

Treat yourself at Hakkasan: Enjoy a whiskey experience like no other with this Macallan 12 smoked Old Fashioned. Served on a sherry wood oak slab, the Insta-worthy beverage is paired with a crispy rice shrimp with tangerine sauce.
