Eva Mendes Responds to Claim She “Quit Performing”

Eva Mendes is setting the record directly.

The Drawback starlet—who shares children Esmeralda, 8, and Amada, 6, with Ryan Gosling—dealt with current reports that claim she gave up acting.

“I never ever gave up acting,” she captioned the Oct. 5 Instagram video including various headings about her departure from acting. “I wished to be house with my infants and luckily my other service endeavors permitted me to do that more than acting would.”

While she hasn’t appeared on-screen in 8 years—however did voice a character on the kids’s program Bluey in 2021—the starlet, 48, used a basic description, keeping in mind that she was “not delighted about the stereotyped functions” that were being used to her after shooting the 2014 drama Lost River, which she called a “dream task” that was a “difficult act to follow.”
