Being able to appeal to wider audiences and accordingly creating a more inclusive image is now among the biggest goals of many brands in the fashion world. The problem Victoria’s Secret had with the related issue had been going on for a few years. The brand has undergone a radical change, emphasizing that it made room for inclusivity by choosing Sofía Jirau with Down syndrome as a model last February.
This time, there is another innovation. Never Have I Ever Darren Barnet, known from the TV series, is the first male brand ambassador of Victoria’s Secret. Built on supporting and empowering youth Gender Free Barnet, who will also be responsible for the promotion of the collection, said, “I am honored to join VS Pink as a brand ambassador. I will support initiatives to empower young adults and mental health awareness while helping to launch new styles in their gender-neutral collections.” He also does not miss to share the news with his followers on his Instagram page.
