After revealing their hiatus to regroup, we now have our very first BTS member launching a solo album. J-Hope revealed on Saturday early morning on Weverse that his very first solo album, Jack in package, will be out on Friday, July 15. The album, set to be launched simply 2 weeks prior to his headlining Lollapalooza set, would be the very first full-length album launched by a solo member of BTS. His very first single is out next Friday, July 1. In a declaration on BTS’s Weverse website, their label Success Music specified: “BTS has actually begun a brand-new chapter that harmoniously integrates group and specific activities, and j-hope’s solo album is launched as the very first runner. As suggested in the album name, j-hope’s solo album ‘Jack In Package’ includes j-hope’s goal to break the existing frame and reveal a more fully grown image. We request for your interest in ‘Jack In Package’, and we request for your assistance for j-hope’s initial step as a solo artist.”

J-Hope is the very first member of BTS to launch their solo job post-hiatus statement. Other members have actually launched mixtapes while the group was actively dealing with BTS tasks; Suga launched the August D (2016) and D-2 (2020) mixtapes and RM launched RM ( 2015) and Mono ( 2018 ). Jung Kook was just recently included on “Left and Right” with Tik Tok’s Charlie Puth, revealing that while BTS is still taking a break, the kids are still caring music.
